Voisus Manager

Voisus Manager runs on Telestra 4 Targets using ACE Studio software to manage a set of Voisus applications running on workstations over the network. The primary feature of Voisus Manager is to assign configuration parameters and nets to the Voisus operators. Voisus Manager utilizes the ACE Studio Comm Plan to create a fill, or set of pre-configured nets, to send over the network to the Voisus workstations. Voisus Manager can also restrict an individual Voisus operator from being able to dynamically acquire nets either locally or from other radios on the network.

The Voisus Manager can specify the number of nets available to a Voisus workstation. The Voisus application has up to 10 assets available to assign with nets. Therefore, a Voisus operator may log on with a fixed set of assets and a fixed set of nets and configurations, should you choose to manage Voisus in this fashion.

Confused? Think of a net as a radio station (i.e. WWDC at 101.1mhz) and an asset as a radio (like the one in your car). Voisus Manager can control how many radio stations (nets) you can listen to and it also controls how many different ones you can listen to at the same time (the number of radios or assets).

For DIS Voisus, Voisus Manager can completely specify the DIS configuration and restrict whether the operator can use ASTiNet mode or DIS mode or both.

How it Works (in a Nutshell)

Upon Voisus application startup, the user logs in and the username is used to announce itself over the network to the Voisus Manager. The Voisus Manager then controls the Voisus.
