Base Voisus

The base Voisus product runs on ASTi’s IPv6-based ASTiNet propriety protocol. ASTiNet provides simple and flexible communications networking for all ASTiNet enabled products. ASTiNet’s features include:

• Auto Configuration: the IP broadcast and/or multicast addresses do not have to be configured providing a simple plug and play setup.
• Peer-to-Peer: eliminates the requirement and bottle neck associated with a central server.
• Voice-over-IP Capability: provides ease of use for many-to-many communications mechanisms.

The base Voisus is interoperable with all other ASTiNet radios on the ASTiNet network including interaction with active Targets, other Voisus applications, or Voisus Manager. The base Voisus provides radio simulation for all radio types supported on the ASTi Telestra 4 Target including AM, FM, VoIP, SATCOM, SINCGARS, and HAVEQUICK. While base Voisus supports all radio types, it only allows the operator to locally create AM, FM and VoIP.

The operator simply sets the domain for ASTiNet and begins assigning nets to assets for receive and transmit across the network.
