ASTi Outfits Army Aviation Technical Test Center
April 21, 2006 –
ASTi’s list of U.S. Army test range customers continues to grow, with the recent delivery of a Digital Audio Communications System to the Army Aviation Technical Test Center (ATTC) at Ft. Rucker, AL. The system provides local-area intercom channels and wide-area network virtual radio capability for communications with other DoD test, modeling and simulation sites over secure IP networks.
The ATTC is the US Army’s sole test center focusing on live aircraft flight testing, as well as testing of associated avionic systems. The ATTC serves a wide range of customers such as: all services of the US military, civil agencies and the private sector. ATTC works in conjunction with other Army Developmental Test Command (DTC) test centers in support of the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), the DoD’s premier test and evaluation organization.
ASTi delivered the ATTC system pre-configured to meet the customer’s specific requirements including 14 operator workstations with IP network-distributed voice communications. ASTi’s reconfigurable software provides preset operator access to as many as four virtual intercoms for local administration and public address use, and a full-featured ASTi simulated radio for interoperation with remote networked simulation sites. ASTi also provided a technical support package including software model development & testing, and ongoing help-desk support.
In the past year ASTi has welcomed several new Army DTC customers, including:
